Scientifically Tested
We scientifically tested our
product in an urban Texas
high school. We tested nine sections of students studying two semesters of Spanish I (212
students with 130 hours of instruction).
During the first semester (65
hours of instruction), all 212 students received similar instruction and homework and took the same first-semester final
exam. During the second semester, seven sections (171 students) received 65
hours of regular instruction. Two sections (41 students), had 52 hours
of regular instruction and 13 hours of SpeedSpanishTM I
practice. At the end of the second semester, all 212 students took the same second-semester
final exam.
The following table shows the
test scores.

those students who were in class for the entire year. Students who transferred in or out during the middle of the year
were not included.
